Ljungbyhed Park, 27 June. Radical Cup Scandinavia arrived at the airport circuit for the second round of the season, with more than 7,500 tickets claimed for the tenth anniversary of Airport Race and temperatures climbing beyond 35 degrees.

The heat made a short, intense lap even less forgiving. Tyre performance was difficult to recover once it began to fall away, and the narrow lap-time window left little room for experimentation.

Qualifying confirmed how close the weekend would be. Petrovic took pole with a 50.472, only 0.036 seconds ahead of Ludvig Bäck. Rasmus Hedberg and Johan Leander completed a top four separated by less than one tenth of a second.

Petrovic converted pole into victory in Race 1, finishing 2.966 seconds clear as Vortex Performance filled all three podium positions. Race 2 was less straightforward. A sensor issue interrupted the car's performance and probably cost the chance to fight for the win. An ambitious move while trying to recover third then dropped Petrovic to fourth at the flag, just 1.260 seconds from the winner.

A small change before Race 3 brought the car back into its window. Finding more lap time remained difficult in the heat, but the balance and response had returned. Petrovic took the lead on the opening lap and managed the gap with Leander close behind.

After a difficult middle race, the answer was a win by 1.034 seconds and the fastest lap of the final heat.

Race 2 was frustrating because we had the pace to fight for the win. The important part was to answer back in Race 3 and leave Ljungbyhed with strong points.

The weekend added two victories and extended Petrovic's championship lead after six of twelve heats. Radical Cup Scandinavia now pauses for the summer before returning at Ring Knutstorp in August.
