Gelleråsen Arena, 31 May. Stevan Petrovic opened the 2026 Radical Cup Scandinavia season with the kind of weekend that rarely survives contact with a race meeting: pole position, three starts and three wins.
The short lap at Gelleråsen leaves little time to recover from a mistake. Rhythm matters, traffic arrives quickly and small gaps become important over a full race distance. The first task was therefore to put the number 42 in clean air.
Petrovic did that in qualifying with a 1:03.542, securing pole for the opening heat.
From there, the weekend was unusually straightforward. The car worked from the opening session, the starts were clean and the pace remained available whenever it was needed. There were no technical problems or recovery drives, only the job of repeating the level across all three races.
Petrovic won Race 1 by 6.473 seconds and extended the margin to 7.433 seconds in Race 2. The final heat produced the clearest result of the weekend: victory by 12.252 seconds. He also set the fastest lap in every race.
Behind him, Nicolai Pedersen made a strong debut for STEP Motorsport, while Rasmus Hedberg and Ludvig Bäck showed pace across the round. At the front, however, the number 42 controlled the weekend from qualifying to the final flag.
You never get weekends like this for free. The whole team earned every tenth of it.

Maximum points gave Petrovic the early championship lead. It was a perfect start, but only the first of four rounds. The next test would come at Ljungbyhed, a shorter and faster circuit with almost no margin between the front runners.
